Easter Seals 2011

The 55th Easter Seals Campaign on Prince Edward Island was Successful with Over $100,000 Raised

The Ambassador for this year's PEI Easter Seals Campaign was eleven-year-old,  Hannah MacLellan. Hannah lives in Pownal, Prince Edward Island, and is the daughter of Stephanie Drake & Rob MacLellan. She has an older sister named Abbey.

Hannah who has Cerebral Palsy loves to stay active with skiing, horseback riding, cross country running and especially swimming.  Hannah is an enthusiastic grade six student who enjoys drawing, playing piano and listening to Taylor Swift.

Hannah was pleased to be the 2011 Easter Seals Ambassador. Her campaign motto was:

"Believe in yourself... You will be amazed at what you can do!"

The Easter seals campaigns are a franchised project of the Charlottetown Rotary Club, and supported by the Rotary Clubs of Summerside and Montague. A direct mail campaign, Tim Horton’s Ambassador’s School Tour, the paper egg campaign and other fundraising initiatives enable Easter Seals to help provide programs and equipment for people with disabilities on PEI. The campaign has the ability to accept donations online making it even easier to support Easter Seals in PEI.

The PEI Easter Seals Society has provided financial assistance to support programs at Camp Gencheff, PEI Rehabilitation Council, Joy Riders, CADS-PEI (disabled skiers assoc.) and many other worthy organizations.  The Society encourages businesses or organizations interested in supporting Easter Seals to contact the Coordinator by email.
