Rotary Scholarships

The Rotary Club of Charlottetown supports students with a scholarship program as follows (Note that addition information about how the scholarships are administered and applications can be accessed at the More Information links on this page):



Holland College:
The Rotary Club of Charlottetown Award: This $500 award will be made available to a resident of the greater Charlottetown area who is in good standing in their program. Applicants will be assessed on the basis of their community service work. Applications must include biography, a summary of previous education, work experience and community service work. Deadline for application is October 20. (For more information, see Holland College web page).

University of Prince Edward Island:
The Rotary Club of Charlottetown Award: This $1,000 award will be made available to an international student, enrolled in full time studies at UPEI, and who is in good standing in their program. Academic achievement and financial need are the selection criteria; therefore, this award will be of particular interest to students from developing countries.

Rotary Club of Charlottetown Scholarship:
The Rotary Club of Charlottetown awards one or more scholarships annually, valued from $500 to $2000, to challenged (eg physically, mentally, learning, other) persons entering or continuing studies at a post secondary level, full or part time, preferably, but not necessarily, in PEI. Applicants must be residents of Queens County. Applications and information are available at local Registrar’s/Principal’s Offices, by going to the Application Form link on this page, or directly from the Rotary Club of Charlottetown, PO Box 608, Charlottetown, PE, C1A 7L3. Deadline for receipt of application is April 30th.
 
[The above scholarship is administered by the Club’s Scholarship Committee and the funds come from the Club’s share of Easter Seals revenues Scholarship monies are paid jointly to the scholarship recipient and the academic institution which the student will be attending].
 


Rotary Club of Charlottetown Foundation Educational Award:

The Rotary Club of Charlottetown Foundation awards one or more scholarships, valued from $500 to $2000, to challenged (eg physically, mentally, learning, other) persons from Queens County who are entering or continuing studies at a post secondary level, full or part time, in PEI. Applications and information are available at Registrar’s/Principal’s Offices, by going to the Application Form link on this page, or directly from the Rotary Club of Charlottetown, PO Box 608, Charlottetown, PE, C1A 7L3. Deadline for receipt of application is April 30th. 
 
[The above award is administered by the Rotary Club of Charlottetown Foundation, with the pre-screening and recommendation by the Club's Scholarship Committee. The funds come from the net income accrued on Rotary Club of Charlottetown Foundation investments. Award monies are paid jointly to the award recipient and the academic institution which the student will be attending].
