Foundation Recognition Points

What are Foundation Recognition Points or FRP’S?
In the past these were called 'Available Credits' but now they are called 'Foundation Recognition Points' or FRP's for short. When a donation is made to The Rotary Foundation, the Foundation will assign to the donor FRP's corresponding to the donation amount. Actually the donation has to be to one of the following Foundation programs:

  • Annual Funds Program - Share
  • Polio Plus
  • Polio Plus Partners
  • World Fund
  • Matching Grants

Gifts made to the Permanent Fund or Rotary International Programs are not eligible for FRP's. The Foundation keeps track of how many FRP's an eligible donor has accumulated through their donation history. Individual Rotarians who are Paul Harris Fellows, Clubs, and Districts can all accumulate FRP's. When donors reach certain plateaus in the amount of FRP's they have acquired, they will receive appropriate recognition from the Foundation. For example Paul Harris Fellows can be officially recognized as a Multiple Paul Harris Fellow when the accrue enough FRP's in their account. Clubs and districts can also receive official recognitions when they accumulate significant numbers of FRP's in their accounts.
